बिहारच्या समस्तीपूर जिल्ह्यात मतदानावेळच्या व्हीव्हीपॅट (VVPAT) पावत्या एका कॉलेजच्या आवारात उघड्यावर सापडल्याने मोठी खळबळ उडाली आहे. या घटनेमुळे राजकारण चांगलेच तापले असून, राष्ट्रीय जनता दलाने (RJD) निवडणूक आयोगाच्या कार्यपद्धतीवर प्रश्नचिन्ह उपस्थित केले आहे.
आरजेडीने चोर आयोग यावर उत्तर देणार का, असा सवाल विचारला आहे. यावर निवडणूक आयोगाने तात्काळ दखल घेत चौकशीचे आदेश दिले. निवडणूक आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार यांनी सांगितले की, या डमी मतदानाच्या पावत्या होत्या, ज्या निष्काळजीपणे निवडणूक अधिकाऱ्याने टाकल्या होत्या. याप्रकरणी एका अधिकाऱ्याला निलंबित करण्यात आले असून, गुन्हाही नोंदवण्यात आला आहे. निवडणूक आयोगाने नागरिकांना अफवा न पसरवण्याचे आवाहन केले आहे.
